03/02/24 Gathering: Come Away With Me

Worship:

Simply put, the invitation of the Lord to come to Him was made known. The response of the church, when face to face with Jesus, is the joy of finding the One who our soul loves to love.

“I can search for all eternity long and find there is none like you” (Steffany Gretzinger, None Like You).

Teaching:

Song of Solomon 2:10-14

My love calls to me: Arise, my darling. Come away, my beautiful one. For now the winter is past; the rain has ended and gone away. The blossoms appear in the countryside. The time of singing[a] has come, and the turtledove’s cooing is heard in our land. The fig tree ripens its figs; the blossoming vines give off their fragrance. Arise, my darling. Come away, my beautiful one. My dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the crevices of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely.

The door is open to come and be with Him. Our Father is calling our name – go to Him. Apostle Garth painted a picture of a loving mother holding her child in her arms. The mother is enthralled with her child as she gazes at it; she takes into memory all the expressions on the child’s face, the shape of the child’s eyes, and notices the hair on its head. The baby is comforted by the presence of its mother since it is wrapped tightly in her arms, so the child rests without fear of its future.

Our Father tells us that He knows every hair on our heads. Like the picture of the mother and child, our Father lovingly holds us close while noticing and admiring his sons and daughters. Any sign of distress and the Father desires to bring peace into that situation. We, as we choose to rest in His arms, experience the peace of the Lord. He is near to those who draw near to Him.

Acts 17:26

From one man He has made every nationality to live over the whole earth and has determined their appointed times and the boundaries of where they live.

In the Father’s love for us, he has set boundaries for his children. Like the child, who is wrapped snuggly in the arms of the mother, the child experiences peace in the mother’s protection. This is a part of us that should not grow up. We should want to remain in the boundaries of the Father; Wrapped in His ways, we experience the peace and rest of the Lord Jesus. Because children of God are born of God we desire the presence of God, so there is something off when we are not with Him. Like a baby who is laid down in its crib, it recognizes the change in its position and the child can become disturbed maybe even awaken from its rest and suddenly cry out because it is no longer in its mother’s arms.

So, if we forget the boundaries that are set in love, our good Father disciplines his children drawing us back to Him. Therefore, we should accept our Father’s discipline out of love and trust in him.

Instructions:

A Bride in Army Boots (prophetic word given through Jeremiah Johnson)

  • You MUST come into my [God’s] counsel and receive my words before going into battle.

  • Be alert and sober minded, gird yourself up in the Word of the Lord for there is an enemy looking to devour: The religious spirit, the Jezebel spirit, the orphan spirit, spirit of witchcraft, and family warfare.

Words to Consider:

  • You know when you have found the one that you love, when you want to be with that one.

  • Turn off everything, pushing through the distractions of this world, and learn to sit in the silence of the Glory of Lord waiting for Him – waiting on His word.

  • God know what is best for you and He does what He is going to do.

  • Holy Spirit says to His church, “When you are not with me, it is like someone who is missing from your Thanksgiving table.”

Be Reminded:

  • Our Focus is Jesus & His return, and our Foundation is faith.

  • The Painting:  The church was asked to remember that miracles happen, so stand strong and believe God in those seemingly impossible situations. The creation of that painting was a miracle, and the church was asked to allow the painting to serve as a reminder that we love and serve a God of Miracles. Also, the painting is a product of obedience. So, when God speaks trust and obey Him. Follow the word of the LORD.
