Worship & Intimacy

Today, The Champion's House was blessed by students from Stockton University who led in song and worship to Jesus.

The Power and Purpose of Worship

  • The Church shared personal visions and spiritual experiences during worship (visions of Israel, US borders, Garden of Eden, and more).

  • Paster Karen emphasized that worship is not only an offering to God but also spiritually impactful, opening "portals of heaven" and bringing God's presence and protection.

  • There was a discussion of the fluid, harmonious nature of the worship team's music, described as "heavenly" and "ethereal," fostering a sense of lingering in God’s presence.

  • The Church was encouraged to remain in a posture of worship and to "linger" rather than rush out of God’s presence.

Spiritual Growth and Intimacy with God

  • The main teaching centered on Ephesians 3, focusing on being "rooted and grounded in love" and developing a personal, intimate relationship with God.

  • The Church was encouraged to move from a religious or "churchy" mindset to a kingdom mindset, seeking genuine encounters rather than rituals.

  • The importance of approaching God "empty-handed but full of heart," ready to receive personally from Him and to listen for His voice was taught.

  • The metaphor of gardening was used to illustrate the need for good "soil" (heart condition) to receive and bear fruit from God's Word.

  • The Church was urged to seek a deeper dwelling with Christ, not just a superficial relationship, but inviting Him fully into their lives.

  • Apostle Garth taught on the anointing (God’s empowering presence) being received through close fellowship, using analogies of baking and perfume.

Unity and Diversity in the Body of Christ

  • Several in the church shared visions and analogies highlighting the diversity and unity of believers, such as the "pixelated body of Christ," where each person is a unique color contributing to the whole.

  • The church discussed how everyone’s individual experiences and gifts create a beautiful tapestry demonstrating God’s glory.

Insights on the Biblical (Hebraic) Calendar and Seasons

  • Pastor Karen brought a teaching on the Hebrew month of Iyar (or variations of the spelling/pronunciation), corresponding to a season of light, healing, and provision.

  • She encouraged the church to expect healing, revelation, and supernatural provision during this month, and to recognize God’s timing and seasons.

  • She taught of the tribe of Issachar’s significance—discerning the times and seasons—and a call to seek God for direction in this season.

Questions to Consider

  1. What is the true impact of worship beyond what we see?

  2. How can each individual develop a deeper, more intimate relationship with God?

  3. What does it mean to be "rooted and grounded in love?"

  4. How do seasonal spiritual dynamics (Hebrew months) affect our lives?
